Harmonized Sales Tax

|
|
| Please note that tax charges may be adjusted in accordance with the new Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). |
| As of July 1, 2010, the Provincial Sales Tax in Ontario (PST) will be combined with the Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST), resulting in a single Harmonized Sales Tax, or HST |
| For the current Pathway customers with monthly services, the HST transition period is from June 1st to June 30th 2010. The HST charge will apply for the prorated period between July 1st 2010 and the end of your monthly billing cycle. This will be reflected in your June 2010 invoice. |
| As per Revenue Canada, if you subscribe for any Pathway annual Internet services plan during the HST transition period (between May 1st and June 30th 2010), the HST charge will apply for the prorated period between July 1st 2010 and the end of your annual billing cycle. |
| For example, if you sign up for an annual FastPath plan on May 10, 2010, your tax charges will be adjusted as follows: |
- For the period between May 10 and Jun 30, 2010 - only GST of 5% will apply.
- For the period between July 1, 2010 and May 9, 2011 - HST of 13% will apply.
