What do you need?

To use Pathway's Dial-up Internet service, you must:

	Reside in the GTA or Hamilton-Burlington area
	Have a working telephone line
	Ensure your PC is running Windows 98 or above, or Mac OS X 10.2 or above
	Have a working modem installed in your computer and connected to the phone jack

V2 Accelerated Access

Pathway's V2 Accelerated Access service delivers webpages up to 7 times faster than normal dial-up connections. The downloadable desktop client is easy to install and requires no end-user configuration. With Pathway's V2 Accelerated Access service, you can take advantage of image-rich websites and enjoy the Internet without the wait!

How does it work?

Pathway's V2 Accelerated Access service uses patented acceleration, compression and network optimization to enhance your dial-up online experience. Through the use of proprietary text and image compression, content caching and network optimization technologies, V2 Accelerated Access streamlines text, graphics, Flash and web-based emails (including attachments) to speed up your Internet access.(Note: MAC users must have OSX 10.2 or greater to use V2 Accelerated Access.)

How to get the V2 Accelerated Access service

Please note: The V2 Accelerated Access service is included with Dial-up Plans 2, 3 and 3F free of charge!

If you are a new customer signing up for Pathway's Dial-up Internet service, simply select this optional service on the online signup form or call us to speak with a Sales Representative.

If you are an existing Dial-up Plan 2, 3 or 3F customer and would like to enable this service, call us to speak with the Provisioning Department.

If you are a Plan 1 or 1F customer, you may add the V2 Accelerated Access service to your Internet plan by clicking here and logging in with your Pathway Username and Password. Select ‘Add More Services’ and complete the online form.
